Recent Projects
Seismic Survey, Mannar Basin
Marking a milestone in oil exploration activities in Sri Lanka Cairn Lanka appointed CGGVeritas to carryout a 3D seismic survey in block SL-2007-01-001 in the Mannar Basin from December 2009 to January 2010, using the seismic vessel “SR/V Viking II”. CGGVeritas in turn appointed Hayleys Energy Services (HES) as Service Provider for the duration of the seismic survey. From the inception of the survey, marked by the arrival of the seismic vessel to the Colombo Port, where HES organized the inauguration ceremony flagged off by HE the President Mahinda Rajapakse and attended by many dignitaries. We have proven our competence and capability in providing Vessel Agency services, Husbanding, Customs Clearance, Accommodation, Travel and crew transfers to and from the vessel and Medical services while supplying provisions, bunkers, chase boats, and security staff to oversee and ensure the safety of the vessel, personnel and the survey equipments. We are proud to have successfully handled the very first crew change in Sri Lanka, on a vessel moving at a constant speed of 4 knots. At least one safety specialist of our team was constantly with the crew of more than 25 members, ensuring their safety all the way from the point of pickup at the airport and throughout their stay.

Entrusted with the task of providing logistical support to the Seismic operation HES was able to assist the survey with a gamut of highly specialized services ranging from Chase boats, local interpreters to helicopter logistics, Travel and Crew transfers, navy personnel.
In order to keep the fisherman well informed, stringent surveillance and chase boat operations were carried out by HES with the use of 6 fishing boats hired locally. HES ensured that the project was carried out in compliance with the highest international standards while providing personnel protective equipment, safety equipment, binoculars, safety training, sea survival training and constant medical checkups. HES engaged the local fishing communities for the chase boat services ensuring sustainability and its commitment to the society at large.
Once again crew changes and medevac cover from shore to the survey in the Mannar Basin were carried out with the use of helicopters from Sri Lanka Air force.
2010-Met Ocean Survey for FugroGEOS
Continuing with the success of the 3D Seismic Survey, Hayleys Energy Services was successful in securing the contract to provide support services to the Met Ocean Survey carried out by Fugro Geos.
