Certification, Compliance & Insurance

Insurance IGP&I (International Group of P&I Clubs). The 13 P&I Clubs which comprise the International Group between them provide marine liability cover (protection and indemnity) for approximately 90% of the world’s ocean-going tonnage.

We use market leaders in marine insurance that offers comprehensive products, in-depth experience, the financial strength and security to deliver our services.

TRACE certification reports contain a wealth of anti-bribery compliance information  establishing that the organization have been thoroughly vetted and trained by TRACE, the world’s leading anti-bribery standard setting organization.

It is the policy of Hayleys Energy Services to manage all activities and operations in a responsible manner that protects the health and safety of its employees, contractors and public and minimizes any adverse impacts on the environment.

Sustainable development has been a key focus within HES culture, inspired by its parent company Hayleys who has a long standing track record for integrity, ethics and good governance. A safe working environment is of paramount importance to any organization and its great asset, PEOPLE. In this context, Hayleys Energy Services take pride in adhering to the strictest standards in safety, striving to maintain a ZERO accident rate for all our operations.

We have initiated a group wide active EHS committee who constantly monitors, identifies, suggest and implements appropriate EHS methods. Out of several measures, frequent training sessions on EHS, Presentations, Demonstrations and pre & post Project Safety briefings and sharing of learnings are some key initiatives, helping HES to constantly be up the mark on the ‘ZERO Accident’ free environment. Ruwan Waidyaratne

Managing Director

Joined Hayleys Advantis Group in 1985. Appointed as the Managing Director of Hayleys Advantis Group in April 2011 and an Executive Director of Hayleys PLC in April 2013. Vice Chairman of the Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents. Member of the Steering Committee on Ports, Shipping, Aviation and Logistics affiliated to the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.

Ibrahim Saleem

Director

An Industrial Economist with an MBA and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. Nineteen years’ experience in the Shipping, Freight Forwarding, Bunkering, Chartering, Project & Energy Logistics sectors in Sri Lanka, India and Dubai. Appointed a Director of a subsidiary company in 2008. Appointed a Member of the Committee of Management of Hayleys Advantis Group in January 2015.

Chas Charles

Director

A Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (UK) and a Charted Mechanical Engineer. Possess over 30 years of experience in the oil & gas upstream sector. Worked in the UK, USA, Africa, South Asia, Asia Pacific and Europe holding positions in top managerial levels. In 2008, retired from full time employment with Halliburton Inc., from the post of Vice President. Currently holds a board membership as Non-Executive director of EOC Ltd., Singapore

Sas Mahadeva

Director

Sas is a UK qualified accountant (FCCA) and has over 25 years’ experience in the UK real estate sector, specialising in acquisition and development of investments, funding structures, tax planning and investment strategies. He was previously one of the founder directors of a real estate asset management business in London and Zurich. Sas is founder and director of Stockwood Advisory Services in London and a consultant at Bushe Gower Chartered Surveyors in London. He also assists European companies with business development initiatives in Africa.

Sas graduated with a BA(Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Kingston University in 1985 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1987. He trained with Messrs. McIntyre Hudson Chartered Accountants in London.
